Does the tool upload my image to a server?
No. The image is read locally using the FileReader API and processed on an HTML5 Canvas entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
What image formats are supported?
You can upload PNG, JPEG, WebP, and GIF. GIF input is supported but the animation is not preserved — only the first frame is exported.
Is there a maximum image size?
Browser canvas limits vary but most modern browsers support up to 16,384×16,384 pixels. Very large images may be slow to process.
Will resizing reduce image quality?
Downscaling (making an image smaller) generally preserves quality. Upscaling adds no new detail — the result will look blurry. For JPEG output use a quality of 85–95% to minimise compression artefacts.
Can I resize to a specific aspect ratio?
Yes — disable the lock aspect ratio toggle and enter any width and height independently to set a custom aspect ratio.
