Frequently asked questions
What aspect ratio presets are available?
Free (no constraint), 1:1 (square), 4:3, 16:9, 3:2, and 2:3. Click any preset before or after drawing your selection.
What format does the cropped image download as?
The cropped image downloads as PNG with full transparency support. If your original was a JPEG you can re-convert it using the Image Converter tool.
Is there a maximum image size I can crop?
Most browsers support canvas sizes up to about 16,384 × 16,384 pixels. Very large images (above 32 MP) may hit memory limits depending on your device.
Can I re-crop after a first crop?
Yes — just upload the image again or draw a new selection over the current one. The original file is always used as the source.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes — touch events are supported so you can drag to select on a phone or tablet.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. All cropping runs locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.
