How it works

1

Upload your CSV

Drag and drop a CSV file onto the upload area, or click to browse. You can also paste raw CSV text directly.

2

Inspect the table

Your data loads instantly as a formatted table. View row and column counts in the stats bar.

3

Sort and filter

Click any column header to sort ascending or descending. Type in the search box to filter all rows in real time.

4

Download filtered data

Export the current filtered and sorted view back to CSV with one click — no data ever leaves your browser.

Common use cases

Quick data inspection

Open a CSV export from your database or analytics tool and browse the data without opening Excel or a spreadsheet app.

Find specific records

Search across all columns at once to find specific customers, transactions, or entries in large CSV files.

Verify exports

Confirm that a data export contains the right columns and rows before passing it to a colleague or uploading to another system.

Share filtered subsets

Filter the CSV down to a relevant subset and re-download it for sharing — without modifying the original file.

Frequently asked questions

Is my CSV data uploaded to a server?

No — your file is read entirely in your browser using the FileReader API. Nothing is uploaded or stored anywhere.

What is the maximum file size?

There is no hard limit set by the tool; the practical limit depends on your browser's available memory. Files up to 50 MB work well in most browsers.

Does it support all CSV formats?

Yes — it handles comma-separated values with or without quoted fields, and correctly parses commas inside quoted strings.

Can I hide or reorder columns?

Column visibility is controlled via the Columns panel. Column reordering is not yet supported.

How many rows are displayed?

The first 500 rows are shown by default. Use the search/filter to narrow down results if your file has more rows.

Can I edit the data?

This tool is read-only — it is designed for viewing and filtering. Use a spreadsheet app to edit CSV data.
