Free Pixel Art Maker Online

Create pixel art in your browser — pick a grid size, choose colours, and draw.

How it works

1

Choose grid size

Pick a grid from 8×8 up to 64×64. Larger grids give more detail; smaller grids give a classic look.

2

Select a colour

Use the colour picker or click a palette swatch to choose your drawing colour.

3

Draw pixels

Click or drag over the grid to paint pixels. Use the Fill tool to flood-fill an area.

4

Download

Click Download PNG to save your pixel art at 1× or scaled up to 8×. Your art never leaves your browser.

Retro art

Recreate the look of classic 8-bit games or make original pixel art posters and wallpapers.

Favicon design

Design a 16×16 or 32×32 favicon with pixel-perfect control, then export as a high-res PNG.

Frequently asked questions

What grid sizes are available?

8×8, 16×16, 24×24, 32×32, 48×48, and 64×64. Changing the grid size clears the canvas.

Can I zoom in to see individual pixels better?

The canvas automatically fills the available width, so larger grids are still clearly visible.

Is there an undo feature?

Yes — press Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac) to undo up to 30 drawing steps.

What resolution is the downloaded PNG?

You can download at 1× (1px per cell), 4× (4px per cell), or 8× (8px per cell) for print-ready quality.

Can I use a custom colour not in the palette?

Yes — the colour input above the palette accepts any hex or RGB colour.

Does my pixel art get stored anywhere?

No. All pixel data is kept in the browser. Closing or refreshing the tab clears the canvas.
