How to Sign a PDF Online Without Uploading It
Most online PDF signing tools require you to upload your document to a server. That's a privacy risk — especially for contracts, legal agreements, and sensitive paperwork. This guide shows you how to sign a PDF while keeping your file entirely on your device.
Why Avoid Uploading Your PDF?

Generate your signature

Open your PDF

Insert the signature image
In Adobe Acrobat: Tools → Fill & Sign → Sign → Add Signature → Image → select your PNG. In Preview (Mac): Markup toolbar → Insert → Image → select your PNG, then drag it to the signature line. In most PDF editors: Edit → Insert Image or Stamp → Image.
Resize and position
Drag the signature to the correct position above the signature line. Resize it to match the space. Most PDF editors let you click and drag the corners to scale.
Save the signed document
Save the file (File → Save or export as PDF). Your signed PDF is ready to send.
Method 2: Download as PDF → Merge Documents
