Frequently asked questions
Is the selection truly random?
Yes. Picks use crypto.getRandomValues() — the browser's cryptographic RNG — not Math.random(), which is predictable.
Are my names stored anywhere?
No. Names exist only in your browser's memory for this session. Closing the tab clears everything.
Can I pick multiple winners at once?
Yes — set the pick count to select 2 or more names in a single draw. Toggle "Allow duplicates" to control whether the same name can win twice.
Is there a limit on names?
No hard limit — the tool handles hundreds of names without issue. Very large lists (10,000+) may cause a slight delay.
Can I re-pick after removing a winner?
Yes — click the × next to a winner's name in the history to exclude them from future picks. Or simply delete them from the list.
Does the tool work offline?
Yes — once the page has loaded, no internet connection is required.
