Frequently asked questions

Does this show EXIF data?

Not currently — EXIF metadata (camera settings, GPS location, timestamps) requires binary parsing of the JPEG/TIFF format. This tool shows the visual properties: dimensions, size, type.

What formats are supported?

Any format the browser can render: PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, SVG, BMP, ICO. SVG reports the viewBox dimensions.

How is aspect ratio calculated?

By finding the GCD of width and height and reducing to the simplest form (e.g., 1920×1080 → 16:9).

Is my image uploaded?

No. FileReader reads the file locally and Canvas decodes it in the browser. Nothing is transmitted.
